Super Cup: Inter 3-1 Roma

Inter came from behind after John Arne Riise gave Roma the lead at the San Siro to take the Italian Super Cup at a packed Giuseppe Meazza. It was a lead that was well deserved and well taked after a quality through ball from Francesco Totti gave Riise the time to fire past Julio Cesar. However, it did not take long for Inter to start winning all the battles in midfield and an error by Roma gace Goran Pandev the space to shoot past Lobont. Cambiasso and Sneijder were running this game now yet it was Lucio who got forward well in the second half to feed Eto' at the near post, and he made no mistake. Mistakes were however what Roma could not avoid as Taddei'sshocking give away allowed Sneijder to play Eto'o through once again to claim his second of the night. To say Lobont could have done better was an understatement and Roma fans will be looking forward to see Julio Serio in goal come the seasons start no doubt.

Elsewhere Juve have continued their summer revolution by adding Alberto Aquilani to their ranks.
