Calcio Mercato: Cesena give their tifosi something more to cheer about

After giving their tifosi their first taste of Serie A since 1991 the Cesena management have attempted to strengthern their side to give themselves a chance of survival in this campaign. Ghana international Stefan Appiah has arrived and the former Bologna, Parma and Juventus player will bring with him bags of Serie A experience to help the newly promoted side. He will join former Chievo striker Erjon Bogdani, midfielder Fabio Caserta on loan from Atalanta and Greek under 21 International Panagiotis Tachtsidis who arrives on loan from Genoa. It will certainly be a season for the Cesena faithful to enjoy as they swap the journeys to the likes of Pescara, Cittadella and Triestina for the likes of the San Siro, Stadio Olimipco and San Paolo instead. There fairytale will begin away in Rome against Roma on the Saturday night game on August 28th. It will be fun to watch how they get on this season.
