Inter again stalled in the Champions League as they picked up their third draw in a row and sit bottom of the group, although the remaining teams are all only one point above. Inter fell behind almost immediately and it could have been 2-0 later on a Shevchenko almost headed home. Inter, however, did get back into the game through the in form Dejan Stankovic who swept home in front of an empty net. Inter though blew any momentum that they had gained from the equiliser as Lucio somehow managed to head into his own net from a Kiev corner. After the break though Inter came out strong and Walter Samuel leveled the tie through a header. Both sides had chances in the second half, but subsitute Suazo missed a guilt edged opportunity on 85 minutes as he rolled wide from an easy position. Suazo did put the ball in the net for Inter late on, but it was offside. Inter travel to Kiev next and will need to win against the Ukraine side next away from home.
